Previously JAI used an extremely expensive unit with inadequate power that did not quite meet their needs.The TOMAR unit costs a fraction of JAI’s previous solution; has a 10-year warranty, and is powered 100% of the time ready to fire providing powerful illumination of a moving vehicle's license plate for recognition in applications such as toll collection and enforcement, sector control, and parking structure access and billing. Units have been manufactured in both low voltage DC and worldwide capable AC versions. Over 2300 units are deployed world-wide.
